We invite you to deeply immerse yourself in a yogic lifestyle. Come live, breathe and move with mindfulness in the company of likeminded souls. In this environment we have the opportunity to reset, realign and take with us the tools to integrate our new found peace back into our daily reality. This is what we would like to share with you - the tools to allow the peacefulness of retreat living to be incorporated into your daily life.

A yogic lifestyle encompasses all aspects of living. This course will be offering a few more pieces of the puzzle for peaceful living.

Duration of the retreat

The retreat starts on Wednesday, July 17th at 15:30h. There will be a welcome, a yoga class, an introduction and opening. The retreat finishes on Sunday, July 21st, at 14:30h, after lunch.

Activities description


A harmonious and wholistic approach to movement by balancing strength and flexibility to create a flowing practice focused on functional and sustainable movement. It is an all encompassing approach of movement following the breath to balance, tone and maintain the body for optimal function.

Yoga classes are for all levels of practice.

Yoga classes are progressive, variations for different levels of practice and particular limitations are always. 

Exploring the body/mind connection through breathing techniques. Bringing both physiological and psychological benefits, a short daily breathing routine can lead to transformation. Breath work has been shown to alleviate stress and anxiety, help with concentration and relax the mind. It does all of this whilst balancing the bodies systems, bringing oneself into equilibrium.
Discussion and demonstration session on how to eat a wholesome and balanced plant based diet. We will be covering the basics of macro/micro nutrients, protein combining, activating/sprouting/fermenting, special dietary requirements, food combinations and more. Food is an energy form, its vibration is greatly influenced through preparation methods. We will discuss how our interaction with food can enhance our life.
Exploring the mind and body connection through our thoughts and their correlation to the physical body through the act of food consumption. Cultivating awareness whilst eating can be transformative with healing our relationship with food, our planet and ourselves.
Meditative walks and hikes are esencial practices in our retreats. They are very simple and accesible for everyone. They help us to understand, through experience, our deep connection with nature.
It makes us notice in each step and in each breath, that the energy that exist inside us it is just the same as the energy that exists out there. Nature is our greatest teacher, silence and deep listening helps us enrich the experience She offers.

There will be a daily 90 minute meditative walk in nature, opening the senses and developing mindfulness.

One day will be dedicated to meditative hiking, starting just after breakfast and coming back for a gentle yoga session. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the the Ordesa National Park or surrounding areas.  

Everyday there will be guided meditation sessions, in the morning and before going to sleep. The best way to start and finish the day.

We practice simple techniques that are easy to carry on at home. We use universal elements to all of us as concentration objects, such as the breath, the body sensations, sounds, etc.

In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sang means group or community.

Satsang talks encompassing universal energy theory - eastern philosophy meets western scientific discovery. What does this mean to me in my daily life? Viewing reality from new perspectives can give us great insight into universal truths, allowing us to slip into the flow of life and lessen the daily struggle. We live in an exciting age where science is finally catching up and is able to validate concepts delivered to us by ancient yogic philosophy. We will discuss some of these mind bending realisations and give practical ways to incorporate these teachings into action. 

Karma Yoga is Yoga in action = finding skillfulness and integration in any action.

We bring the principles of Yoga in everything we do. We invite you to practice Karma Yoga by helping us with simple tasks of the house as fetching water from the fountain, chopping vegetables, drying dishes, etc.

About the facilitators

 

 
 Jessie Rae Kay

Jessie-Rae is intuitive, eclectic and creative, devoted to living life in harmony through peaceful actions. She has dedicated the last decade to exploring Yoga, the healing arts, plant based whole foods cuisine and learning from great wisdom teachings encountered on her global travels. Jessie-Rae is passionate about living life in alignment with the true self and helping others return to a state of balance and wellbeing.

A certified Yoga teacher of Power Vinyasa Flow and Traditional Hatha Yoga, her asana style draws from many of her teachers’ influences including Mathew Sweeney, Beatrix and Pancho of Pantrix, Vijay Amar and most recently James Boag. She is also a qualified plant based chef and a energy worker of Reiki and spectral healing modalities.

She sees and dreams life in energy forms, creating her reality from a place of peace and love. To Jessie-Rae all of her passions are energy work, whether she is practicing Reiki, Yoga or cooking plant based delights. 

Stevie Kay

Stevie lives and breathes Yoga. For him it is a practice which touches every aspect of life beyond the mat. From a young age Stevie was at home in nature. This feeling of “coming home” when surfing in the ocean was later experienced through yogic practices which has now become a way of life. He has spent the last 10 years travelling the globe studying and practicing Yoga, meditation, and breath work from various teachers including Mathew Sweeney, Pancho and Beatrix of Pantrix, Vijay Amar and most recently James Boag. He is a certified Yoga teacher of Power Vinyasa Flow and Traditional Hatha Yoga. His classes focus on breath work, functional movement, cultivating mindful awareness and a synthesis of eastern and western philosophy.

A passionate grower his studies of permaculture have reiterated to him the importance of living in tune with nature’s cycles. Stevie lives his life guided by the heart, knowing that kindness and nurturing actions are the keys to human evolution and the sustenance of this beautiful planet we call home.

Katya Rios

Katya found in yoga a way of life, a system for self-exploration, providing her with constant support on her path. Currently she continues to deepen her practice with teachers such as Matthew Sweeney, Boris Georgiev, James Boag among others. In early 2014 Katya underwent further asana training with Bharath Shetty and got a 500 RYT teaching certification (Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, and Therapeutic yoga). In 2009, she got her teachers’ training certificate from the International Sivananda Vedanta Organization. Later, after having spent three years working in yoga centers and ashrams from the same organization in Buenos Aires, Toronto, and Quebec, she took an advanced teacher training course in India (500 RYT).

Daniel Benito Po

Co-director of Casa Cuadrau, Dani is a yoga, meditation, and meditative hiking instructor and an ecological builder. Following several consecutive trips to India, he completed his yoga teacher training with Bharat Shetty (RYT 500). Dani’s meditation practice is based on Buddhist teachings received from Tich Nath Han (Zen) and S.N. Goenka (Vipassana). He has also developed his own open meditation practice with Open Dharma. Having studied technical architecture in Barcelona, Dani worked in the construction and theater industries, and also as a yoga instructor.

-Yoga retreats are undertaken in a toxin-free environment with no tobacco or alcohol.

Everyday from the end of the evening Satsang up until before lunch the following morning, we cultivate joyful silence in the house. This deep silence is very healing for calming the mind and being in peace with ourselves, allowing us to deeply listen to ourselves. We will have a restful sleep and the next day we will enjoy the silence with mental clarity during our asana practice, meditation and other activities. Breakfast will be taken mindfully and in silence. By participating in this period of joyful silence we will be supporting each other in our practice.

Throughout the afternoon we will enjoy conscious speaking and deep listening, which will allow us to get to know each other in a more authentic way.
