The retreat with yoga, meditation & hiking activities, is for those who want to get away from routine and stress, through a practice that allows for deep relaxation and a recharge of vital energy to improve physical and mental health.
Besides the daily practice of meditation, yoga classes, meditative walks, there will be one meditative hike and a special vegetarian cooking workshop.
Listen to your body, change your habits and fill yourself with energy in this Yoga retreat.
The morning sessions are usually are more dynamic and the evening ones are more gentle, after the long meditative hikes.
Yoga classes are progressive, variations for different levels of practice and particular limitations are always offered.
It makes us notice in each step and in each breath, that the movement and energy that exist inside us is just the same as the movement and energy that exists outside of us. Nature is our greatest teacher, silence and deep listening helps us enrich the experience She offers.
During the walks we explore to:
-Be transparent; let everything flow freely, without interfering mentally or emotionally, just being present.
-Connect with who you are, to find the right step, your own rhythm and pace.
-Feel everything that happens inside and outside of you.
-Learn to listen to the silence.
Pay attention to the action of walking and everything which is involved physically; movement, breathing, and other sensations.
There will be a daily 90 minute meditative walk in nature, opening your senses and developing mindfulness.
One day will be entirely dedicated to a meditative snowshoeing excursion, starting after breakfast and coming back for a gentle yoga session. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy way the snowy mountains of the the Ordesa National Park or surrounding areas.
During this workshop we will learn how to cook dishes and sweets for special occasions, such as Christmas or other celebrations.
What we will learn will not only be useful for the holidays, we will also share tricks to give everyday dishes a creative touch and make ordinary life something extraordinary.
Vegetarian cuisine can be simple and fit our taste buds. No need to use endless exotic products to eat well. We are surrounded by good quality ingredients, traditional in our cuisine that can easily appeal to everyone.
We will cook as far as possible with products that are organic, local and in season.
The workshop will consist of 2,5 to 3 hours, where we'll go through how to make:

We will cook with presence, developing sensitivity and awareness in the Art of Cooking.
We bring the principles of Yoga in everything we do. We invite you to practice Karma Yoga by helping us with simple tasks of the house as fetching water from the fountain, drying dishes, etc.
Satsang is a gathering to share our concerns, questions, doubts. It is also a time to meditate together and sing meditative songs or mantras.
All activities are optional and can be modified to suit the group. To get the most out of your stay, we recommend that you participate in all scheduled activities.
ABOUT THE FACILITATORS
Katya found in yoga a way of life, a system for self-exploration, providing her with constant support on her path. Currently she continues to deepen her practice with teachers such as Matthew Sweeney, Boris Georgiev, James Boag among others. In early 2014 Katya underwent further asana training with Bharath Shetty and got a 500 RYT teaching certification (Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, and Therapeutic yoga). In 2009, she got her teachers’ training certificate from the International Sivananda Vedanta Organization. Later, after having spent three years working in yoga centers and ashrams from the same organization in Buenos Aires, Toronto, and Quebec, she took an advanced teacher training course in India (500 RYT).
Yoga Alliance RYT 500 (Yoga)
Co-director of Casa Cuadrau, Dani is a yoga, meditation, and meditative hiking instructor and an ecological builder. Following several consecutive trips to India, he completed his yoga teacher training with Bharat Shetty (RYT 500). Dani’s meditation practice is based on Buddhist teachings received from Tich Nath Han (Zen) and S.N. Goenka (Vipassana). He has also developed his own open meditation practice with Open Dharma. Having studied technical architecture in Barcelona, Dani worked in the construction and theater industries, and also as a yoga instructor.
Anna is a physiotherapist and a self-taught cook. Trained in physiotherapy and specialized in urogynaecology, she combines her work with cooking. She has always been passionate about cooking and good food. She lives in a house in Baix Empordà, that has a large kitchen where she can experiment with and investigate food. She shares her knowledge in the form of workshops, in Verges , Barcelona and Vió. Her culinary research is premised on the use of local, organic,and fresh products easy to find and that everyone can easily have in their kitchen.

-How to get here? We can provide transport from Ainsa to Vio on the first day of the retreat, and from Vio to Barbastro on the last day.

-Yoga retreats are undertaken in a toxin-free environment with no tobacco or alcohol.
Everyday from the end of the evening Satsang up until before lunch the following morning, we cultivate joyful silence in the house. This deep silence is very healing for calming the mind and being in peace with ourselves, allowing us to deeply listen to ourselves. We will have a restful sleep and the next day we will enjoy the silence with mental clarity during our asana practice, meditation and other activities. Breakfast will be had mindfully in silence. By participating in this period of joyful silence we will be supporting each other in our practice.
Throughout the afternoon we will enjoy conscious speaking and deep listening, which will allow us to get to know each other in a more authentic way.
