Learning Love: Yoga, Mindfulness, Art & Nature with your family

If as parents we love, take care and understand each other, our children will naturally know how to love. The most precious legacy that we can offer to our children is our own happiness.

Enjoy with your family a week in close and joyful connection with nature, yoga principles and mindfulness.

During these days we will cultivate essential seeds for families.

Yoga, Art and Nature for the whole Family

The arts nurture and awaken curiosity and creativity in children. Practicing Yoga offers unlimited physical and mental benefits as well as supporting the cultivation of essential values, such as generosity, honesty, self confidence and respect for all beings and for oneself.

*All our activities are optional, but we encourage the participantes to attend all the program to get the whole experience of the retreat, with all its benefits.

5 year old children or younger ones, should be with an adult of their family in all children activities.

Yoga and Movement Classes

For adults

Yoga classes are for all levels of practice. The sessions combine Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga principles, as well as movement and mobility exercises.

There is one yoga class per day. The morning sessions are usually are more dynamic and  after the long meditative hikes there are gentle yoga classes.

Yoga classes are progressive, variations for different levels of practice and particular limitations are always offered.

For children

Classes combined games and exercises in which we explore natural movement from animals and nature, yoga postures and concentration techniques.

For families

Designed for all family members, so we can play yoga together.

8 seeds of mindfulness

Mindfulness practiced by children and adults has many benefits *

In children:

  • They develop more concentration.
  • They experience calm and reduced stress and anxiety.
  • Improve impulse control and learn to respond to difficult emotions.
  • They are more empathetic and understand others.
  • They possess natural problem-solving skills.

In adults:

  • More self-aware and connected with their family
  • More sensitive to the needs of their children, developing more empathy
  • They maintain emotional balance
  • They improve the management of emotions, reducing stress
  • They cultivate healthy relationships at home and away

Walks in nature

We will have shorter and logre walks with mountain guides. During the walks there will be nature interpretation, and we will also learn how people used to live long time ago in this villages and about animal and plant life around us.

During the longer excursions, we will have picnic in nature and time to swim by the river.


Early mornings, there will be time for meditation for adults and self-practice. Children will walk up according to their natural rhythms. Before breakfast and some afternoons, all family members will learn and practice concentration and contemplation techniques.

Special Activities

We will have special workshops along the week. They will vary depending on the group. They can include art, music, movement, cooking, etc.

Karma Yoga

Karma= action Yoga= integration.

We will learn bring awareness into everything we do, giving our best wholeheartedly in each present moment. Little and big ones will collaborate with easy tasks (garden, drying dishes, sweeping, fetching water from the spring, etc.) to cultivate a sense of responsibility and cooperation.

Vegetarian Food

All meals are prepared with love and care. The food is, as much as possible, organic, local and seasonal, following a vegetarian diet. The balanced, healthy and delicious meals are children and adult friendly.

Joyful Silence

Everyday from the end of the last activity up until after breakfast of the following morning, we cultivate joyful silence in the house. This deep silence is very healing for calming the mind and being in peace with ourselves, allowing us to deeply listen to ourselves. We will have a restful sleep and the next day we will enjoy the silence with mental clarity during our asana practice, meditation and other activities. By participating in this period of joyful silence we will be supporting each other in our practice.

You will be amazed of how children enjoy very much the silent time.

DATES: July 21st-28th 2021

AGES: 0 to 100 years.

LEVELS: beginners, intermediate and advanced.


The arrival is on Wednesday, July 21st at 15h.
There will be an introduction and opening at 16:30h, followed by a dinner and a meditation.
The retreat finishes on Wednesday, July 28th  at 13h, after brunch.

* One day of the week will be free of activities (possibly Sunday 25th). We will offer breakfast and take a picnic. On that day we will not offer lunch or dinner at Casa Cuadrau. There will be proposals for activities to do but each family will be able to decide whether to join or prefer to make a plan on their own.
