AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE

Retreat content

We will dedicate the first day to physically and mentally prepare for the pilgrimage experience. We will do this in Casa Cuadrau and the surrounding areas, by practicing yoga, meditating, going on meditative walks and sharing learnings and experiences during satsangs. Also, we will go through our backpacks, we will help you organise it, as well as explain the route and details of the trip.

The following day we will embark on this exciting 3-day pilgrimage through the marvelous mountains. We will discover some of the wildest and most magical places in the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, through our own experience and the facilitation of Daniel Benito and Leandro Sancholu, both professional mountain guides, specialised in nature interpretation. Daniel is also a yoga and meditation instructor, and he will offer us his holistic vision of the pilgrimage, through meditative movement sessions, pranayama and the possibility to meditate surrounded by nature.

ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS IN THE GORIZ REFUGE

The level of difficulty is medium and may include sections with certain challenges.

About 8 hours per the day, including pauses for meals, interpretation of nature, etc. Approximately there will be around 6 hours of active walk.

The time of activity in the mountains can always vary depending on the conditions of the group and/or the weather.

Technically they are not very difficult. However, you should to take into account the hours of walking and occasional steep slopes, both positive and negative. Check the Technical data above.

You have two options: either in the dormitory of the Refugio de Goriz or in tents.

Everybody will carry their backpack with their personal equipment (clothes, sleeping bag, mat, etc …) and picnic of the first day.

In the mornings, we will try to cultivate joyful silence, especially when walking.
However, in the interpretative stops, breaks, etc., we will have time to share experiences.

Will we practice yoga daily?
Before leaving for the daily walk and at the end of the day, we will spend a few minutes practicing Sun Salutations and some yoga asanas to stretch and relax the body.

Joyful Silence

Everyday from the end of the evening Satsang up until after lunch the following morning, we cultivate joyful silence in the house. This deep silence is very healing for calming the mind and being in peace with ourselves, allowing us to deeply listen to ourselves. We will have a restful sleep and the next day we will enjoy the silence with mental clarity during our asana practice, meditation and other activities. Meals will be taken mindfully and in silence. By participating in this period of joyful silence we will be supporting each other in our practice.

During the hike, we will be in silence, but there will be stop for some explanations or rest. We will have also plenty of time throughout the retreat to enjoy conscious speaking and deep listening, which will allow us to get to know each other in a more authentic way.
