It is necessary to bring traditional snow chains for the tires, or the ones that are for emergency made on fabric or winter tires.

The road Ainsa – Escalona – Puyarruego – Buerba – Vio is the best option as it is much more sunny, so it minimize the risk of finding snow / ice.

We recommend this option during this time of the year even for those who are coming from Madrid – Zaragoza / Basque Country, and have no experience or appropriate car to drive in mountain roads in winter conditions.
