By car in winter time

It is necessary to bring traditional snow chains for the tires, or the ones that are for emergency made on fabric or winter tires.

The road Ainsa – Escalona – Puyarruego – Buerba – Vio is the best option as it is much more sunny, so it minimize the risk of finding snow / ice. We recommend this option during this time of the year even for those who are coming from Madrid – Zaragoza / País Vasco, and have no experience or appropriate car to drive in mountain roads in winter conditions.
