When the mind is full of thoughts, when difficult emotions overwhelm us, when fear or limiting beliefs exhaust us, nature can bring us back to calm.
Simply resting in the beauty of the wilderness brings peace: the melody of the river, the warmth of the wind, the scent of the forest, the colors of the sunset…
Wild nature has the power to remind you that you are free.

Yoga asana classes are for all levels of practice. The sessions combine principles and exercises from Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, and movement.
There will be one yoga class per day. The yoga classes are progressive, always offering variations for different levels of practice and individual limitations.
On the day of the long hike in Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, we will return to the house for a gentle Yin Yoga session followed by guided deep relaxation.

Meditative walks and longer hikes are an essential part of our retreats. They are easy and accessible to everyone.
Meditative hiking helps us understand, through experience, our deep connection with nature. It makes us realize, with every step and every breath, that the energy within us is equal to the energy outside.
Nature is our greatest teacher. Silence and deep listening help us enrich the experience it offers.
There will be two 2-3 hour meditative walks in nature to open the senses and develop mindfulness, with activities such as forest bathing and creative pursuits.
One day will be dedicated to a half-day meditative hike, departing after breakfast and returning for a gentle yoga class. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders of Ordesa National Park and the Sobrarbe-Pyrenees UNESCO Global Geopark.

Meditation
There will be daily meditation in the mornings. The best way to start your day.
We practice simple and easy techniques so you can continue at home. We use universal elements for everyone as points of focus, such as posture, breathing, bodily sensations, sounds, etc.

Satsang
In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sang means group or community. Satsang is a gathering to share our concerns, questions, and our deepest insights. It is also a time to meditate together, contemplate nature and sing meditative songs or mantras.
Joyful Silence
Every day, from the end of Satsang or lazy time until after lunch the following day, we cultivate a joyful and blissful silence at Casa Cuadrau. This profound silence is very healing, calming the mind and bringing us peace with ourselves, allowing us to listen attentively. We will have more restful sleep, and the next day we will enjoy the silence with mental clarity for our asana practice, meditation, and other activities.
Breakfast and lunch are eaten mindfully in silence, practicing “mindful eating“. By participating in this period of joyful silence, we will be supporting one another in our practice.
Throughout the afternoon, we will enjoy mindful speaking and deep listening, getting to know each other in a more authentic way.

Electronic Detox
We do not offer internet service in order to preserve the retreat atmosphere and allow you to fully benefit from contact with nature.
Upon arrival, we ask that you turn off your mobile phone and all electronic devices to give them a break and enjoy a digital detox.
Before you arrive, please let your family, friends, and colleagues know that you will be unavailable during your stay. You can always provide them with our contact information so they can rest easy if they need to reach you.
A moment of silence to connect with nature, with yourself, and with the group.
The tea leaf is considered a medicinal plant for the body and soul. The tea ceremony is an ancient practice in many cultures and is a way to remember that disconnection from nature is not real. Tea is a dialogue between nature and humankind.
Read more about the living art of the Tea Ceremony here.
During the week we will have some planned activities to awaken our creativity being inspired from the connection with nature and with ourselves.
We will explore art through dance, painting and writing, to name a few proposals. It will be a time to experience and feel, and thus allow us to get to know ourselves better.
Through silence, calmness and the awakening of our senses it gets easier to connect with our creative power. In some of us this power is forgotten, asleep. We just need space, practice and care to cultivate it.
These activities are intended to connect us with our listening skills and our intuition, so we can let emerge what we carry inside. The essence is in the process, in self-discovery and exploration. The result does not matter, but our ability to be present, to relax and to rediscover ourselves, without judging. In this way, we broaden our vision with another perspective, from which we recognize, accept and embrace what arises.
