A journey inward

Yoga, Music & Nature Retreat

A special New Year's Celebration

with Daniel Benito, Silvia Sampere and Marta Reixach

Finish your year in a soft, slow and mindful way.

Every closing of a cycle entails a period of silence, integration and honouring all that has happened along the way.

Some cycles are short and others long. In this case, we celebrate a 365-day cycle.

Allow for a few days to pause, connect and listen in a safe environment where you can be surrounded by nature.

Through the conscious body movement and music we will create a space where we can cultivate and share from a place of vulnerability, where the heart feels a little softer, more open.

In this way, from this place, we will be able to welcome a new year full of opportunities, experiences and learnings to explore.

Although this year might have passed quite quickly, we can still enjoy a closing that is slow, soft and conscious.

Who is this retreat for?

For all the people who are eager to celebrate the closing of the year surrounded by nature and from a place of joy, connection and silence.

For all the people who have a feeling body, beyond any physical condition, practice level or age.

  • All vegetarian meals made with love in our kitchen

What is a soundscape?

A space to connect with the frequency of the present moment, through both body and mind.

During the retreat, there will be opportunities to let go of our protective armor and allow the vibration of the instruments – and of Life itself – to flow through us.

We are invited to listen with our entire being: skin, organs, bones, and tissues; to awaken and soften the layers that make us who we are, making way for the sound… until we dissolve into it.

Together, we create – and will continue to create – a unified field of loving presence.

There will also be moments to observe and appreciate the soundscapes that unfold spontaneously. Breath, body, and sound will be – and already are – our vehicles. Silence is the path.

About the facilitators

Dani is the host of Casa Cuadrau. Silvia and Marta are friends of the house and have been facilitators in our for years.

We adore them and are delighted to have them join us for this very special year-end celebration retreat.

Here they are, in alphabetical order.

Daniel Benito

  • Mountain Guide
  • Meditation and Yoga
  • Tea Ceremony

From a young age, he has felt a deep devotion to the mountains. Between the Pyrenees and the Himalayas, he discovered in hiking an extraordinary practice for meditation and connecting with nature.

In Barcelona, he studied Technical Architecture and Yoga, working in the fields of construction and theater, as well as serving as a yoga instructor. He explored Body Weather, Butoh dance, and other movement practices under the guidance of Carme Torrent and Andrés Corchero, among others.

After several trips to India, he completed training programs in Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, and Therapeutic Yoga. His meditation practice is grounded in Buddhist teachings.

In 2009, he moved to Vio village to realize a dream he had been nurturing since 2006: rebuilding a traditional Pyrenean house and transforming it into a retreat center for Yoga, Art, and Nature—a house to share these kindred practices.

Marta Reixach | Equipo Casa Cuadrau

Marta Reixach

  • Soundscapes
  • Mantras & Songs to the Earth

She has long been drawn to the sounds of nature and to instruments capable of creating sustained, ethereal tones. In 2012, she participated in the «Gong Ritual» Sound and Trance workshop led by Dr. Peter Hess and Joel Olivé, where she was able to deepen and expand her experience through their model of receptive music therapy.

She enjoys exploring the vibrations sound leaves in the body and the surrounding space, embracing expanded states of consciousness. The instruments she uses include the symphonic gong, monochord, Tibetan singing bowls, didgeridoo, percussion, shruti box, and the voice.

In her journey as a human being, she seeks to experience balance across all dimensions of her body. Sound and silence serve as her great teachers on this path, helping to refine and expand her perception while enriching her understanding through new experiences.

Silvia Sampere

  • Yoga & Pranayama
  • Bhakti & Music

Through yoga and mindfulness, Silvia discovered a new way of viewing the world and relating to life.

Over time, her asana and meditation practices revealed other paths up the same mountain: Bhakti yoga, chanting, Cha Dao, theatrical improvisation, and intuitive expression. Music, movement, and cooking are the realms where she currently cultivates and nurtures her creativity. Water and the forest feel like home, and she always returns to them to reconnect with herself.

Silvia first came to Casa Cuadrau in 2018 and fell in love with both the project and Ballibió. Since then, she has collaborated in various ways, always with the aim of helping the project grow and reach more people.

For this new year’s retreat, she will guide some of the yoga sessions. The goal of these classes is not to change or improve anything, but rather to cultivate deep listening and sensitivity through movement, breath, and conscious, loving observation—welcoming whatever arises during the practice. She will also co-create soundscapes alongside Marta.

She currently offers weekly online yoga classes, collaborates on yoga teacher training programs by teaching Pranayama and mantra chanting, and participates in retreats on an occasional basis.
